Young Families

IMG 1640 web cropYoung Families at Beth Am (YFBA) is a group created to serve families with children newborn to 6 years old. Our goal is to help parents with young children connect and grow through educational, social, and cultural events, in order to create and sustain a Jewish life. We offer monthly programs for families and have annual get-togethers for just parents, too.

Temple Beth Am also has two services a month tailored for young children which are open to everyone, whether TBA members or not: Kinder Kabbalat on the first Friday of the month at 6:00 PM and Tot Shabbat on the fourth Saturday of the month at 9:15 AM.

YFBA is based out of Temple Beth Am, but you do not need to be a member to participate in this group. Everyone is welcome! Join our email list by emailing Director of Community Engagement Alexis Kort with your name and the names and ages of others in your family.

You can also join Young Families at Beth Am on Facebook to keep up-to-date with our events and late-breaking information.

Upcoming Events:

YFBA Donuts & Dreidels: Hanukkah Breakfast Schmooze
Sunday, December 17, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
TBA Social Hall
Join us for a fun morning of donuts and dreidels to celebrate Hanukkah! We’ll have holiday arts and crafts and a sing-a-long with Shoshana Stombaugh. Our program is geared for the 6 and younger crowd, but older siblings are always welcome. Everyone is encouraged to wear their ugliest winter sweater or stay in your pajamas (Hanukkah theme a plus). Event is free and open to all, but please RSVP to Director of Community Engagement Alexis Kort, so we know how many adults and children will be attending.
