Curriculum: 11th and 12th Grade
Becoming Jews in the World
In their final years of high school, the curriculum teaches students about the relevancy of Judaism to their adult lives, helps them learn how to ask questions and find answers, and illustrates how every issue can be connected to Jewish text. Students will decide how they want to explore these questions by picking one of three elective choices during each unit.
This year our 11th an 12th grades will join with the community-wide Livnot Chai 11th and 12th graders. We look forward to inspiring classes and great community-building.
All Temple Beth Am ninth through twelfth graders are also encouraged to become Madrichim (teacher helpers), and involved with our outstanding Beth Am Temple Youth group, BATY.
Schedule for 11th and 12th graders:
6:15 - 6:45 PM: Services in Sanctuary, led by the rabbis
6:45 - 8:15 PM: Electives (with a big break for socializing!)
